The JKI Story

Jacobson Klein was founded in 1994 by Ron Jacobson and Dale Kleinknecht. Both Ron and Dale were recognized by the Maple Valley community for their well-built homes with distinguished designs, and their ability to provide clients with a practical and beautiful home at a great value. Throughout the years, Jacobson Klein has built over 600 homes from the ground up, and done even more remodels, establishing the company as one of the premier luxury builders in Maple Valley.

After many successful years in business, Ron and Dale decided to retire in 2016 and eventually passed the company down to Adin Houck, an experienced builder and US Navy veteran. Since that time, Adin has kept the spirit and tradition of Jacobson Klein alive, building luxury homes with a strong attention to detail for his clients.

Adin Houck

Adin brings over 25 years of hands-on experience in residential construction, from his humble beginnings as a framer in Northern California, to finish carpenter, superintendent, and all the way to to operations officer. Whether it’s traditional architecture or contemporary design, Adin has been recognized for his ability to bring complex designs into reality. Having successfully completed numerous designs for some of the leading architects in the Northwest, he is no stranger to unique and demanding projects.

Adin and his wife Lynda currently reside in Hobart with their twin boys who both attend the Tahoma School District. Adin and Lynda enjoy their involvement with the local community and look forward to establishing a relationship with all of their clients.

Ron still works independently and utilizes his countless years of experience to help our clients navigate the difficult and complex permitting process.
